Café Noisette

Join us at Dances at the Bay, a free outdoor dance festival in Hamilton from July 17-19th at Bayfront Park @ 7PM. The 2026 Summer Company will be performing Cafe Noisette, an energetic and lively production inspired by the Jazz Age, with original costumes and sequences of exciting, slapstick stage combat. This is one of Frog in Hand's most popular and enduring productions, thrilling audiences from Mississauga to Guelph and now appearing in Hamilton for the very first time!

Taranta Opening Night

Frog in Hand invites you to Taranta Opening Night on August 20 at the Unitarian Congregation of Mississauga. Starting at 6PM, it will be a one-night-only fundraising celebration featuring a special evening of giving and dance to support our artistic and community programs. Every ticket and donation helps contribute to our programming like the Summer Company and Dancing in the Library. The evening will include an exclusive VIP reception with delicious food, drinks, lively conversation, a special pre-show chat with the dancers, and an exciting silent auction filled with great finds. Come celebrate the power of dance, support art in Mississauga, and help us keep these programs thriving. We can't wait to share this special night with you.

The Beautiful Game

By the iconic Port Credit lighthouse, experience a free original dance performance unlike any other. From July 31-August 1 for four shows, this site-specific dance production is inspired by the theme of soccer: its energy, athleticism, drama, despair, hope and loyalty. In this arena, the stakes are high, and anything can happen... Join us as we pay homage to The Beautiful Game.

2 shows: 7pm and 9pm.

Rain date: Sunday, August 2.

Summer Dances: Taranta

Join us for a Summer Dances presentation of Taranta. Taranta aspires to commune with the ancient roots of female experience, underlining the enduring relevance of female rage. It weaves an abstract narrative through compelling imagery, celebrating female power with a gestural language that is grounded, precise and explosive, drawing on motifs from agricultural work and “women’s work:” sewing, carding wool, spinning thread, scything grass, and making hay.

August 21-22, 27-29 @ 8PM at the Unitarian Congregation in Mississauga.

Land Acknowledgement

We are privileged to work, live and play on the traditional territories of the Anishinabek, Haudenosaunee, and Wendat peoples - Treaty 13A territory. This territory is included in the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, which is an agreement to peaceably share and care for the land and its resources. The standard of living we enjoy in Canada is a result of thousands of years of stewardship by the original inhabitants and the inequitable taking of the land from them. We acknowledge that in order to have reconciliation, we must first understand truth; we commit to move forward in an effort to achieve both. Our CoFounders, Colleen and Noelle, are settlers from Welsh, Ukrainian and English roots, and their heritage is but one piece of the tapestry that is Frog in Hand. Frog in Hand is a collective of artists with diverse backgrounds and histories, heritages and family stories of their own.

We are all Treaty People. On September 30th each year we mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. Every day we are mindful of broken covenants and we strive to make this right. We commit to collaboration based on the foundational assumption that Indigenous Peoples have the power, strength, and competency to develop culturally specific strategies for their communities. We are dedicated to honouring Indigenous self-determination, history, and culture, and are committed to moving forward in the spirit of reconciliation and respect with all First Nation, Metis and Inuit people.
